National Rendezvous and Living History Foundation Non-profit 501(C)3 Home 2020 Events Contacts Shopping Cart Corps of Discovery Cart Delegate/Booshway Gallery The National Rendezvous and Living History Foundation invites you to the 32nd Old Northwest Territory Primitive Rendezvous June 12 - June 18, 2020 Hidden Hollow Camp 8672 Richman Road Lodi, Ohio 44254 Work Party Dates: April 8-9, 2017 May 6-7, 2017 (if needed) -- The information below will have minor corrections, changes, updates or additions as more information becomes available. Staff Booshway James Schneider 330-416-6197 Email -- Join us in the pre-1840 competitions and activities during the week: Competitions in rifle, smoothbore, trap, pistol, woods walks, archery, knife and tomahawk, Highland Games, women's competitions. There will be plenty of activities for those 15 and under so bring your children/grandchildren: Shooting BB guns, a woods walk (non-shooting activities), fishing derby (primitive fishing poles/bait provided), sack races, identifying animal tracks, and more. Other activities include: Seminars, demonstrations, camp music fest (bring your instruments), gospel singing, ice cream social, etc. -- Pre-registration deadline May 12, 2020 Please register in advance if possible. It helps with deciding on number of port-a- johns, amount of wood, amount of food and other decisions. Public Visitors: (No registration required) Donations accepted at the gate. Active-duty Military, Police, and fire department personnel with ID are FREE. -- Participants: --NMLRA members and spouse or significant other - $55 each --Non-members - $65 each --Children 17 and younger - free Registration at gate - add $10 per adult --Early set-up - $5/day per adult if not pre-registered --Traders - $50 --Commercial blanket trader - $20 For a printable pre-registration form from the NRLHF website, click here . Information The information below has not been updated for 2018 and will be posted as soon as available. -- Rendezvous Rules All NRLHF rules and regulations apply. Please help us keep this event primitive. Clothing, lodges and accoutrements must be from the period 1640-1840 in North America. Food vendors can reach the Wood County Health Dept at 419-352-8402. -- No modern footwear or sunglasses may be worn unless medically required. Period eyeware is encouraged. Hearing protection is encouraged on the shooting range. No modern weapons permitted. Artillery must be inspected in advance of firing, and may be used only in designated areas. Propane, kerosene, lighter fluid and similar flammable materials are not permitted. No smoking in hooters. Do not do dishes or rinse chamber pots at water stations. This causes a serious sanitation risk. Other information: Modern camp is at Mary Jane Thurston State Park, 2.5 miles from the site along the Maumee River. Hookups are available. Fee is in addi- tion to event registration fee. parks.ohiodnr.gov/maryjanethurston (419) 832-7662 A trading post will be available for staple grocery items. -- Please tie trash bags for pickup. DO NOT dump contents of chamber pots into trash bags. Needles must be properly discarded. Handicapped participants must abide by rendezvous rules as much as possible. Carts and walkers are allowed. NRLHF follows ADA rules for service dogs. No pets are allowed on the grounds. Photography equipment must be covered when not in use. NO flash photography. A minimum of 2 gallons of water is required in an open container within 5 feet of fire pits, braziers and other open flames. Do not cut live trees or brush. People in possession of furs, feathers and other wildlife parts should contact the Ohio Department of Natural Resources District 2 office for legality questions, 419-424-5000. Conduct which disrupts the peace and order of camp may result in expulsion from the event. Stealing, fighting and illegal drug use WILL result in expulsion. -- Ice will be available for purchase and delivered daily. Toilet facilities will be portable toilets. You are welcome to camp if you want to. There will be a porta-john there and wonderful well water. There are a lot of limbs down on the site that need to be gathered and burned. Big tree still need to be cut up and split. Hopefully we can get the grass cut, so bring a mower if you can. We'll supply hot dogs and buns. Bring something to share and beverages.
